I have always been artistic from a young age, and when I left school I decided to be a Product Designer as I liked making the things that I had drawn.
A four year university degree course knocked this desire firmly out of my system. And I realised that all I wanted to do was draw. And paint.
Early media I used was very design-orientated; technical pens, permanent markers, gouache. However, since I discovered acrylics in 2005, I haven’t looked back.
I have illustrated children’s books, calendars, genre magazines and currently produce a range of prints, postcards and greetings cards, under the name ‘Jesmond Cat Designs’
