Joy is an artist from Sowerby Bridge and works mainly in oils, and more recently in watercolours.
In her past, her enamel miniatures were selected for exhibition by the Royal Miniature Society at Westminster. She likes to bring that detail in to her current work, some of which is exhibited at the Ryburn Gallery in Sowerby Bridge and can be viewed on their website.
Her work has also been commissioned by local businesses and the Princes Restoration Trust.
Joy joined the Halifax Art Society last year after taking interest in the society’s syllabus. This gave her the opportunity to learn and use different media and to hone her talents, a very worthwhile venture!
