The Halifax Art Society gave a warm welcome to Paul Talbot-Greaves, their first demonstrator of the year. Paul chose a rural scene in Nidderdale as his subject. The members watched and listened with enthusiasm to Paul describing in detail while painting in his unique style. True to form, by the end of the evening Paul had produced an awe-inspiring painting. The members look forward to trying some of the techniques they have learned.

The first meeting of the Halifax Art Society at our new venue was a huge success with 17 people present. Janet Gledhill ran a workshop, the title being ’Winter poem challenge’. The paintings that followed from the reading of the poems were amazing, so many different styles and ideas.
From 6th January 2017 we will be moving to:
All Saints Parish Church Hall, Godfrey Road, Skircoat Green, Halifax.
Our meeting time is also changing to Friday mornings 10:30am to 1:00pm.
