HAS members kept busy during lockdown, take a look at some of the works produced by our artists!

Oranges and Lemons
The theme for the workshop on 1st October was ‘Oranges and Lemon’s with members producing some still lifes and drawing inspiration from other images.
Lighting up the skies
Our meeting on 5th November was one to remember, as members interpreted the theme of ‘Light up the Skies’.
Coffee break
On the 8th October, the Halifax Art Society experienced a memorable session, when member Carol Pope introduced us to her idea of painting with strong tea and coffee, enhanced by ground cinnamon and ginger for special effects. You could have heard a needle drop when we concentrated on applying it to watercolour paper.

Trying Palimpsest
Last Friday a reduced number of members of the Halifax Art Society came together to try for themselves some Palimpsest paintings, remembering what we had learned the previous week.
It was great fun, as we all had looked for previous work, which we could wash, brush and reuse or other suitable pieces of paper.
From today onwards, until further notice, our sessions are cancelled due to Coronavirus COVID-19. However, watch this space as we intend to communicate online.
