26th January 2024 – After learning about Horse in Art last week, Lynne Hickin brought lots of books and ideas for members and led the session. It was a very popular subject and members produced lovely artwork.

The Horse in Art
19th January 2024 – Members braved the snow today to learn all about horses in art. Researched and presented by Lynne Hickin, members enjoyed learning all about the horse as a subject from early cave paintings to modern day. Next week Lynne will lead us on a workshop where we will create our versions of the Horse.
Jigsaw Pictures
12th January 2024 – From an idea by Sandra and organised by Philip, we painted pieces from famous artists and put together the jigsaw to complete the picture.
The Owl and the Pussycat by Edward Lear
5th January 2024 – We had our first workshop of the new year led by Janet and Lynda. Members were asked to illustrate parts of the poem, The Owl and the Pussycat. Lynda gave very interesting information about Edward Lear’s life and Janet brought in lovely examples of work completed by other artists for inspiration.
