15th March 2024 – We welcomed back Julia who led a ‘paint along’ workshop. Julia first demonstrated the technique of blending colours on canvas using acrylics and then walked round assisting members with their artwork. It was a very informative and enjoyable morning.

8th March 2024 – This workshop was organised by Lynne and Philip Hickin who sourced and produced images for members to create their own illuminated letters. Everyone really enjoyed the process.

1st March 2024 – As it was St David’s Day, Janet and Lynne led a Welsh-themed workshop featuring paintings by the Welsh artist, Kyffin Williams, and the national flower of Wales, the daffodil. Photographs of the Welsh landscape and daffodils were provided which helped to inspire members to produce some lovely and varied paintings.

23rd February 2024 – Dorothy Ann Simister, an artist from Hebden Bridge, organised and presented today’s workshop based on Kandinsky and his synaesthesia – seeing colours in response to the world around him. We listened to a variety of music and drew the shapes and colours we felt the sounds represented. It was a really enjoyable experience.
