6th February 2026 – Following on from last week’s demonstration by Jane Austin, members had a go at recreating Jane’s painting or choosing a subject of their own. It was a good morning where we could practice the tips and techniques Jane gave us.

23rd January 2026 – This workshop was led by Lynda, who brought in many examples of her own artwork depicting these fascinating creatures. Lynda also provided templates and ideas to help members to create their own artwork.


































9th January 2026 – Janet led this first workshop of the year and as in previous years, selected a poem for members to paint – Jenny Joseph’s poem “When I am an old woman I shall wear purple”. Janet was brilliantly dressed as the character of the poem and members could either draw her or something from one of the pictures/books provided.



























21st November 2025 – Carol, who organised and led this workshop, brought in books, magazines and some of her wonderful artwork to demonstrate the various techniques in using different sizes of charcoal. Carol also gave a short demonstration to help inspire members to create their own artwork.





































7th November 2025 – This workshop was led by Kate who brought in a lot of materials/old Christmas cards/stickers etc for members to use to create new Christmas cards. Kate also demonstrated different ways of creating a card. It was a very enjoyable and productive morning.
