We had a very enjoyable workshop on Friday, 26th November, painting and drawing some lovely seed heads – teasels, honesty, cones and others. Some people used watercolour, some used acrylic inks, and some did detailed botanical studies in pen and ink or in soft pencil – a beautiful selection.

Big sky and sea was the subject in the Halifax Art Society last Friday for an acrylic workshop, led by Hebden Bridge artist Julia Ogden. Members tackled the subject with gusto!
On the 26th April there will be a workshop ‘Roses in Bloom’, led by Janet Gledhill.
Included in our new exhibition in the Tourist Information centre in Hebden Bridge is the opportunity to buy a sunflower canvas for £20. The money raised will go to support the Macmillan Unit at the Calderdale Royal Hospital. Can you help us reach our goal of £1000?
