Seed heads

We had a very enjoyable workshop on Friday, 26th November, painting and drawing some lovely seed heads – teasels, honesty, cones and others. Some people used watercolour, some used acrylic inks, and some did detailed botanical studies in pen and ink or in soft pencil – a beautiful selection.

On Friday 12th November, our member Jenny Reid led the Halifax Art Society in a workshop dealing with rubbish in a different way before the recycling. It was astonishing to see how skilfully members created pieces of art within two hours.

Watercolour and Doodles

Last Friday Lynne Hickin led the workshop ‘Watercolour and Doodles’. We were surprised what you can do with some blotches of bright watercolour, some fine point pens and good advice.

Our fantasy made us create flowerbeds, houses, birds, hillside gardens and much more.

On the 13th March we shall have a workshop about Palimpsest, which Terry Chipp is demonstrating today.
