11th June 2025 – Simon made a welcome return. This time he gave an interesting talk about his commission to paint the Provident, the wonderful time he spent sailing around on the trawler, the complexities of painting accurate details of a boat that would stand up to the scrutiny of sailors and how the sketches he drew resulted in him doing 2 paintings. Members spent the rest of the morning sketching a boat themed artwork either using one of Simon’s sketches of the Provident or a picture they brought in.

4th July 2025 – Today we celebrated Wainhouse Tower being 150 years old. Lynda brought in photos, pictures and a lino cutting to help inspire members to create their own artwork of the wonderful structure.

27th June 2025 – This workshop was led by Carol, who brought in many examples about perspectives, some worksheets we could use to practice with and illustrative books.

20th June 2025 – Members had the opportunity to visit the allotments or use one of the photos/pictures of roses and other flowers provided to create artwork for the allotment calendar.
