30th January 2026 – We welcomed back Jane who demonstrated painting a water feature from a photograph in watercolour. Jane explained how she outlines the picture first, applies masking fluid to areas she wants to keep white, prepares a page of the colours and colour mixing she will use. She also gave members lots of ideas, tips and techniques to create different effects, especially when painting water.

23rd January 2026 – This workshop was led by Lynda, who brought in many examples of her own artwork depicting these fascinating creatures. Lynda also provided templates and ideas to help members to create their own artwork.

16th January 2026 – This workshop led by Carol was really enjoyable. Carol provided many wonderfully snowy photos and books. Members worked in a variety of mediums.

9th January 2026 – Janet led this first workshop of the year and as in previous years, selected a poem for members to paint – Jenny Joseph’s poem “When I am an old woman I shall wear purple”. Janet was brilliantly dressed as the character of the poem and members could either draw her or something from one of the pictures/books provided.
