17th November 2023 – Mark Burgum and Fran Lily were due to lead today’s workshop but due to a mix-up will now be attending next week. Members had the opportunity to complete previous, unfinished work or to create something new from the large variety of photographs and pictures brought in by Janet and Carol.
Remembrance – what it means to you
10th November 2023 – Today’s workshop was organised and led by Janet. Members reflected on what Remembrance means to them and produced a diverse and poignant range of artwork.
Sue Cordingley – Tree Decorations Workshop
3rd November 2023 – Sue was invited to lead a workshop on making decorations for a Christmas Tree. The Art Society is participating in the Halifax Minster Christmas Tree Festival taking place 1st – 4th December. Sue brought in a variety of different materials and gave us lots of ideas and inspiration to make our own creations. Sue is a Mudlarker and uses many found objects in her artwork.
Crafting Christmas Cards with Ilona and Kate
27th October 2023 – This morning was organised by members, Ilona and Kate, who talked us through the process of making different kinds of Christmas cards and explained how they created some of the lovely sample cards they brought in. They provided lots of materials for us to use. Everyone had a fun day creating their own cards.
