26th January 2024 – After learning about Horse in Art last week, Lynne Hickin brought lots of books and ideas for members and led the session. It was a very popular subject and members produced lovely artwork.

Jigsaw Pictures
12th January 2024 – From an idea by Sandra and organised by Philip, we painted pieces from famous artists and put together the jigsaw to complete the picture.
The Owl and the Pussycat by Edward Lear
5th January 2024 – We had our first workshop of the new year led by Janet and Lynda. Members were asked to illustrate parts of the poem, The Owl and the Pussycat. Lynda gave very interesting information about Edward Lear’s life and Janet brought in lovely examples of work completed by other artists for inspiration.
Winter Scene for Overgate
1st December 2023 – Members were invited to create an image to be a Christmas card for Overgate for 2024.
Mark Burgum & Fran Lily – Recreating Georgia O’Keefe
24th November 2023- Fran Lily gave a short talk on the life of the American artist Georgia O’Keefe and her particular style of painting. Members were given some examples of Georgia’s work to help inspire their own creations.
